Morningstar Recovery Services was founded by Michael Morgester as a non-profit to provide housing alternatives for addicts in recovery. MSR currently has 4 clean and sober co-ed houses.

Mike's goals were always to help anyone who is seeking to change their life in a positive way. He was the Outreach Coordinator for Oxford Houses from 2000-2005, assisting in starting up over 150

clean and sober houses throughout Oregon. He has received many awards in recognition of his efforts, contributions, and commitment

to bettering the services for addicts with Local, State and County agencies.

Mike personally overcame many obstacles from a difficult background and spent his life helping others do the same. Even through his

courageous battle with cancer he never lost sight of offering the hand up to help the suffering addict.

Sadly he lost that battle and passed away on January 4, 2018, leaving behind his wife Krystal and their daughter Lana.

Mike lived his life to the best of his ability by following a set of personal values of honesty, integrity, respect and unconditional love. We can

only hope to live up to these principals and carry on his vision.
